Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mascenic Regional). They put the hurt on the Franklin Tornadoes with a sharp 20-4 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

The win (which was Mascenic Regional's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Mascenic Regional wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Conant on the 16th. As for Franklin, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-7 victory against Sunapee on the 16th.
