Baseball Game Preview: Gulf Shores Dolphins vs. Spanish Fort Toros

For the second straight game, Gulf Shores will face off against Spanish Fort. The Dolphins will challenge the Toros at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gulf Shores is on a five-game streak of home wins, Spanish Fort a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Gulf Shores and Spanish Fort, and Spanish Fort kept the tradition alive. The Dolphins took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Toros on Thursday.

Gulf Shores saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Luke Stephens, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Spanish Fort has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for Gulf Shores, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12-1.
