Basketball Recap: Zion-Benton Zee-Bees vs. Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors
Zion-Benton won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They had to suffer through a 63-32 loss at the hands of the Perspectives Leadership/Technology Warriors. The Zee-Bees lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 64-59 score last time.
Leading Perspectives Leadership/Technology to victory were Liiban Debela and Phoenix Childs. Debela went 7 of 11 en route to 19 points and five rebounds, while Childs posted 17 points. The game was Childs' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Pikes, who put up eight points and seven rebounds.
Zion-Benton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
