Basketball Recap: Boys Town Comes Up Short

Boys Town was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of the College View Academy Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 32-15 last Monday.

Despite the loss, Boys Town still got an impressive performance from Starr Mills, who went 7-for-13 en route to 14 points and seven steals. The dominant performance also gave Mills a new career-high in field goal percentage (54%).

Even though they lost, Boys Town smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Boys Town's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for College View Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Boys Town wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-26 loss against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the 13th. As for College View Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 34-18 victory against Mile High Academy on the 13th.
