Baseball Game Preview: Coral Shores Hurricanes vs. ABF Academy Homestead Bandits

The Coral Shores Hurricanes will head out on the road to face off against the ABF Academy Homestead Bandits at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Last Tuesday, Coral Shores didn't have quite enough to beat Palmer Trinity and fell 2-1. The match marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Coral Shores saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was AJ Putetti, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, ABF Academy Homestead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Calvary Christian Academy, falling 9-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bandits haven't been shut out since back in February.

Coral Shores' loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3-1. As for ABF Academy Homestead, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

Coral Shores skirted past ABF Academy Homestead 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
