Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Nazareth Academy couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They and the Fenwick Friars were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but they suffered a 28-27 loss. The Roadrunners' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Jackson Failla threw for 164 yards and one touchdown. Jake Cestone was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards. On the ground, Charles Calhoun rushed for 130 yards and one TD.

Fenwick was led to victory by Jamen Williams and Max Elfvin. Williams threw for 327 yards and three TDs while picking up 11.3 yards per attempt, while Elfvin picked up 58 receiving yards and one score.

Nazareth Academy's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Fenwick, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Nazareth Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fenwick, they will take on East St. Louis at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Friars will need to watch out since the Flyers have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
