Football Recap: Rancho Christian Comes Up Short

If Rancho Christian was feeling good fresh off their 49-14 takedown of West Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles had to suffer through a 42-14 loss at the hands of the Steele Canyon Cougars.

Even if they lost, Rancho Christian's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cody Horner.

Rancho Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Steele Canyon, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Rancho Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Aztecs' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so the Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Steele Canyon, they will head out on the road to take on Valhalla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Norsemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
