Knoch entered their tilt with Freeport on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 16-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the match before.

Emersyn Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Jones was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Brooke Bastin was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kaila Purcell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Knoch kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Knoch's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Freeport, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
