Softball Recap: Christian Liberty Triumphs

Christian Liberty's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 16-12 victory over the Alden-Hebron Green Giants. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 27-12 loss the last time these two teams met.

Christian Liberty got a massive performance out of Sophia Randesi, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Lucy Lynch, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

The win got Christian Liberty back to even at 1-1. As for Alden-Hebron, their defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Liberty will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on South Beloit at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alden-Hebron, they will host Hiawatha at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Green Giants are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
