Volleyball Recap: Westford Academy Comes Up Short

Westford Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Acton-Boxborough Revolution. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Revolution this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

While Westford Academy was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15, 25-17.

Caeden Fong was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had nine digs and three aces. Anuj Pawar also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Westford Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Acton-Boxborough, they pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Westford Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Chelmsford on the 12th. As for Acton-Boxborough, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Milford on the 13th.
