Baseball Recap: Garnet Valley Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Garnet Valley proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Lower Merion Aces 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Jaguars, who have now won four contests in a row.

Garnet Valley got a great performance from Colton Turner as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. Turner has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Garnet Valley's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Capone, who went 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Capone has posted since back in April. Kyle Klein also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Garnet Valley's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Lower Merion, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Garnet Valley will face off against East at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Lower Merion does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
