It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Wissahickon ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 28-27 victory over the Upper Moreland Bears. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 28-27 win the Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Avery Godoy had a dynamite game, throwing for 322 yards and two TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Wissahickon's leading receiver Quentin West was Godoy's top target yet again, picking up 151 receiving yards.

Despite the loss, Upper Moreland still got an impressive performance from Elijah Davis, who rushed for 115 yards and a pair of scores. Justin Valentin helped out on the ground, rushing for 91 yards.

Wissahickon's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.8 points over those games.
