Baseball Game Preview: Chenango Forks Blue Devils vs. Chenango Valley Warriors

Chenango Forks is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will venture away from home to take on the Chenango Valley Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Chenango Forks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over St. John.

The scorekeeper got an easy start last Thursday as neither Chenango Valley nor Windsor Central made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Warriors never let the Black Knights get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.

Chenango Valley's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was DJ Steen, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Steen's first of the season.

Chenango Forks couldn't quite get it done against Chenango Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
