Volleyball Game Preview: Silver Creek Raptors vs. Frederick Golden Eagles

Silver Creek hasn't had much luck against Frederick recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Raptors will be playing at home against the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Silver Creek lost 3-0 to Niwot on Tuesday.

Silver Creek took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Frederick, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Centaurus by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Silver Creek better focus on containing Kyla Vejrostek and Marisol Tembrock as the pair were huge in Frederick's win. Vejrostek had 12 digs and two aces, while Tembrock had ten digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Tembrock a new career-high in assists (40). Isabelle Ramer also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Frederick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 11 consecutive contests.

Frederick's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Silver Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
