Football Recap: Shikellamy Starts off Right with Win over Milton

Shikellamy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Milton Black Panthers 33-15. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 20-17 loss the last time these two teams met.

Brody Rebuck had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 71 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 301 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Those 301 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Thomas Pollock also helped out as he racked up 142 receiving yards.

Shikellamy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Milton to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. The team can thank Maddox Hoover for the heroic effort on defense: he. Shikellamy wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

Shikellamy's defense didn't let Chase Lytle., get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Rebuck, Jackson Kashuba, and Noah Johnson, who each picked up one sack apiece. Bobby Felmy got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Milton lost, don't look at Montgomery Fisher. Despite the final result, he rushed for 131 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. Fisher also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Coming up, Shikellamy will square off against Lewisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton, they will challenge Montoursville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
