Football Recap: Shikellamy Starts Season with Win Against Milton

Shikellamy had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took down the Milton Black Panthers 33-15. For the Braves, this counts as revenge for the 20-17 win the Black Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Brody Rebuck was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 301 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 13.1 yards per attempt. Those 71 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Thomas Pollock was another key player, picking up 142 receiving yards and two scores.

Shikellamy didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Milton to a completion percentage of just 41.2%. The Braves weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 66.7%.

When it comes to explaining why Milton lost, don't look at Montgomery Fisher. Despite the final result, he rushed for 131 yards and a pair of TDs on only 15 carries. Fisher also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Coming up, Shikellamy will head out to challenge Lewisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Milton, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Montoursville at 7:00 p.m.
