Basketball Recap: Chevak Piles Up the Points Against Alak

On Thursday, the Chevak Comets humbled the Alak Huskies with a 78-51 victory. The Comets pushed the score to 68-36 by the end of the third, a deficit the Huskies cut but never quite recovered from.

Leading Chevak to victory were Kali Hill and Sarisha Ulroan. Hill posted 24 points, while Ulroan had 17 points. The game was Hill's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jazira Matchian, who earned 11 points.

The win got Chevak back to even at 1-1.

Chevak wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 51-47 loss against Scammon Bay on the 10th. As for Alak, they will welcome Nuiqsut Trapper on January 17th.
