Basketball Game Preview: Loving Falcons vs. Texico Wolverines

Loving hasn't had much luck against Texico recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Loving Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Texico Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Loving turned things around against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on Saturday. They breezed by Non Varsity Tournament Opponent to the tune of 63-25.

Meanwhile, Texico blew past Mescalero Apache, posting an 86-20 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 26 points or more this season.

Texico's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.8 points per game. As for Loving, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.

Loving was taken down by Texico 65-8 in their previous meeting back in April of 2021. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Loving was down 34-3.
