Basketball Recap: JJ Tatum's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mcmichael over West Stokes

McMichael lost against West Stokes back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The McMichael Phoenix fell to the West Stokes Wildcats 50-44. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

McMichael's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JJ Tatum, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Dalton, who put up 15 points and eight rebounds.

McMichael's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for West Stokes, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

McMichael will face off against T.W. Andrews at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. McMichael is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for West Stokes, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-48 victory against North Stokes on the 11th.
