The Waukesha West Wolverines are taking a road trip to challenge the West Bend East Suns at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Waukesha West is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

While Waukesha West's victory against Waukesha North wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Wolverines skirted past the Northstars 4-3. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Northstars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Anna Dornbach spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Amelia Carlson was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, West Bend East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 8-3 to Oconomowoc.

Waukesha West now has a winning record of 7-6. As for West Bend East, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Waukesha West might still be hurting after the 18-4 loss they got from West Bend East in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
