Basketball Recap: San Juan Hills Takes a Loss

San Juan Hills has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-49 heartbreaker at the hands of the San Clemente Tritons. The Stallions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tritons earlier this season, when they won 77-66.

Despite the loss, San Juan Hills still got an impressive performance from Mason Hodges, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. The game was Hodges' 18th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rocco Jensen, who posted seven points.

San Clemente's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Porter Hansen, who earned 18 points. Hansen has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Chase Tolliver, who scored eight points and 16 boards.

San Juan Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for San Clemente, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

As of now, neither San Juan Hills nor San Clemente have any future games scheduled.
