A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Citronelle is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest defeat since March 22, 2024 on Friday. They lost 12-1 to Foley. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Wildcats' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Citronelle saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Reid, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Reid is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Theodore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Elberta.
Draden Jones put in work no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jones was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Aidan Germany was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Chase Caine was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
Citronelle dropped their record down to 3-4 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Theodore, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Citronelle has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Theodore struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Citronelle came up short against Theodore when the teams last played back in February of 2022, falling 13-9. Can Citronelle avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
