Volleyball Recap: Loogootee Takes a Loss

Loogootee was the 2-0 winner over Borden when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Braves on Saturday.

Loogootee's offense was headlined by Macy Knepp and Alaina Diamond, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Lydia Hawkins and her ten assists. Knepp was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Kinley Ledbetter went supernova For Borden., getting 13 digs and six aces. Those six aces gave Ledbetter a new career-high.

Loogootee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Borden, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Loogootee will welcome North Daviess at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Borden, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Salem on the 8th.
