Recap: Galway Golden Eagles vs. Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville Wolves

The Galway Golden Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville at home by a decisive 45-27 margin. That's two games in a row now that Galway has lost by exactly 18 points.

Taylor Hayes was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville. Hayes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Brooke Trumble, who scored five points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Galway has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
