Basketball Recap: Lauren Kuhbacher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Campbell County over Sheridan

Campbell County and Sheridan squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Campbell County had to settle for second. They fell 48-38 to the Sheridan Broncs. That's two games in a row now that the Camels have lost by exactly ten points.

Campbell County's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lauren Kuhbacher, who posted 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Kuhbacher is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Kaylie Neary was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Campbell County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. Sheridan is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Campbell County will square off against Green River at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Campbell County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.3 points per game this season. Sheridan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
