Football Game Preview: Johns Creek Gladiators vs. Roswell Hornets + How To Watch

Johns Creek hasn't had much luck against Roswell recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Gladiators will welcome the Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Johns Creek has given up an average of 51.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Johns Creek's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Gainesville on Friday. They were dealt a 55-0 loss at the hands of the Red Elephants. While losing is never fun, the Gladiators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while the Red Elephants are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Roswell got the win against Seckinger last Friday by a conclusive 35-10. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Roswell had a senior duo take command as Trey Smith threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns and Wills Campbell picked up 85 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Roswell's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. Brody Duffy was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making 21 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

The victory made it two in a row for Roswell and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.5 points over those games. As for Johns Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
