After a string of three wins, Sultana's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Tournament Team by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Sultans were not able to get on the board.

Brea Whittemore paced Sultana's offense, picking up six kills. Whittemore got some help from Leila Pele and her five assists. Whittemore also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ella Cain, racking up two apiece.

Sultana's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Sultana didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Silverado on the 12th. Tournament Team has also already played their next contest (against Highland Park), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
