Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Leah Donnelly and Morgan Derrico Lead Manteno to Victory

Manteno won the last time they faced Lisle and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers skirted past the Lions 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Manteno had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Leading Manteno to victory were Morgan Derrico and Leah Donnelly. Derrico had 15 digs and two assists, while Donnelly had six digs and two aces. What's more, Donnelly racked up nine assists, the most she's had over her last six contests.

Despite the defeat, Lisle saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lilliana Rocha had nine digs and two assists.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Lisle, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 14-17.
