For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last three times Hudson and Janesville have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Wildcats. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Hudson's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Janesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Hudson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against Nashua-Plainfield on the 7th. As for Janesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 win against Don Bosco on the 7th.
