Baseball Game Preview: Waynesboro Little Giants vs. Buffalo Gap Bison

The Waynesboro Little Giants will head out to challenge the Buffalo Gap Bison at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Buffalo Gap took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Waynesboro, who comes in off a win.

Waynesboro was handed a seven-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over Charlottesville.

Casey Breeden was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. Waynesboro is undefeated when Breeden posts two or more runs, but 4-11 otherwise. Jasiah Berg was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Buffalo Gap came up short against Wilson Memorial on Friday, falling 8-1. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Green Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Waynesboro's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Buffalo Gap, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Waynesboro took their win against Buffalo Gap in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Little Giants since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
