Football Preview: Monroe Redhawks vs. West Stanly Colts

Monroe is a perfect 6-0 against West Stanly since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redhawks will head out to square off against the Colts at 7:00 p.m. West Stanly took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Monroe, who comes in off a win.

Jamir Jackson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 203 yards and five touchdowns on only nine carries. Those five rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Bryson Simpkins did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 86 receiving yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Monroe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 258 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive matchups.
