After a string of five wins, American Heritage's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Barron Collier Cougars. The Stallions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

American Heritage got a good showing from Lucas Shahrabani, who struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, American Heritage saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Fernandez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Barron Collier, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

As of now, neither American Heritage nor Barron Collier have any future games scheduled.
