Mingo Central won the last time they faced Summers County and things went their way on Friday too. The Mingo Central Miners claimed a resounding 69-38 win over the Summers County Bobcats. The Miners have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 31 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mingo Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addie Smith, who shot 6-for-11 from deep and dropped a double-double with 27 points and ten assists. That's the most assists Smith has posted since back in February of 2024. DaLaney Grimmett was another key player, going 7-for-16 to rack up 21 points along with six assists and four steals.

Mingo Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Summers County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Mingo Central will take on Belfry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Summers County, they will square off against Greenbrier West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
