Baseball Recap: Marina Takes a Loss

Marina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 11-0 to the Gonzales Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mariners of the 6-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Marina saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb True, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Gabriel Ortiz S?nchez also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Marina's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Gonzales, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7.

While Marina had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
