Baseball Game Preview: Bordentown Scotties vs. Steinert Spartans

The Bordentown Scotties will head out on the road to square off against the Steinert Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bordentown is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, it was close, but Bordentown sidestepped Burlington Township for a 3-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Scotties have posted against the Falcons since April 16, 2019.

Chris Basile was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Steinert didn't have quite enough to beat Hillsborough on Saturday and fell 3-1. The matchup marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Steinert now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bordentown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Bordentown took their win against Steinert in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scotties since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
