Baseball Game Preview: Immaculate Mustangs vs. Norwich Free Academy Wildcats

The Immaculate Mustangs will head out on the road to take on the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Immaculate has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Immaculate managed to slip by Newtown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs lost 12-1 to the Nighthawks on Friday. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Immaculate saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Desmond Bremner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Norwich Free Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Westerly on Friday and fell 3-2.

Norwich Free Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Immaculate, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Immaculate came out on top in a nail-biter against Norwich Free Academy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
