Vacaville not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 27th. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Vanden Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Dom Yacovetti and Peyton Olds did most of the damage at the plate: Yacovetti went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple, while Olds scored two runs while going 2-for-4. That triple was Yacovetti's first of the season. Jimmy Mac Niven was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Vacaville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Vanden, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Vacaville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Vikings: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
