Football Recap: Standley Lake Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Standley Lake extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-5. They were beaten by the Lutheran Lions 48-0. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 139th, while the Lions are ranked 37th).

Teagan Leighton threw for 26 yards on six of nine attempts. On the ground, Jaden Epps rushed for 79 yards.

As for Lutheran, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season.

Lutheran's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eli Abramson led the charge by throwing for 268 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Abramson a new career-high in passer rating (156.3). Deacon Downing also helped out with an impressive 154 receiving yards.
