Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Home Victories for East Carteret

On Thursday East Carteret's undefeated season almost came to an end. They skirted past the Pamlico County Hurricanes 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 last Tuesday.

Jacob Grimm was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

East Carteret hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pamlico County struck out 14 times.

East Carteret's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-0. As for Pamlico County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.
