Detroit Country Day fell victim to Lutheran North and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 9-0. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Lamphere was able to grind out a solid win over Lake Shore on Tuesday, taking the game 5-1.

The team relied heavily on Cormick Whalen, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Cole Pawlyczyk was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lamphere's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Detroit Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
