Southington had won three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 13-9-3 to make it four. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Newington Nor'easters. That's more bragging rights for the Blue Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lily Eidukaityte paced Southington's offense, picking up 17 kills. Eidukaityte got some help from Emme Steindl and her 30 assists. Sehere Coma controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

As for Newington, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 5-12 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss they have suffered since September 19th.

Despite the defeat, Newington saw an underclassman step up: freshman Chloe Hedstrom had eight digs and two aces. Nayla Gonzalez-Costa also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Southington wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Plainville on the 17th. As for Newington, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against New Britain on the 16th.
