Basketball Recap: Coastal Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Shandon last Tuesday, Coastal Christian came back down to earth. The Coastal Christian Conquerors had to suffer through a 71-37 loss at the hands of the San Luis Obispo Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Conquerors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1050th, while the Tigers are ranked 123rd).

Coastal Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-12. As for San Luis Obispo, their victory bumped their record up to 18-6.

Coastal Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Maricopa at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Luis Obispo, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge Arroyo Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
