Softball Recap: Lehi Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lehi entered their tilt with Clovis on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 11-6 win over the Cougars. For the Pioneers, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2019.

Lehi got a massive performance out of Mya Maughan, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave Maughan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Allyx Navares, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Lehi always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Lehi's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Clovis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Lehi wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-3 victory against Douglas on the 22nd. As for Clovis, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Bishop Gorman on the 21st.
