Volleyball Recap: Sarasota Comes Up Short

Sarasota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Riverview Sarasota Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sailors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Sarasota was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Riverview Sarasota work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Sarasota's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Riverview Sarasota, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Sarasota will square off against Bradenton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverview Sarasota, they will head out on the road to square off against Venice at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
