Football Recap: Hudson Catholic Takes a Loss

Hudson Catholic had taken Immaculata down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. The Hawks were beaten by the Spartans 49-6. The Hawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Immaculata to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Cilento, who rushed for 92 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Cilento is becoming a predictor of the Spartans' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Jaiden Drake-Murray was in the mix as well, providing Immaculata with two scores.

Hudson Catholic is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Immaculata, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Hudson Catholic will be playing at home against Bayonne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bees will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Immaculata, they will venture away from home to take on Snyder at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
