Recap: Randleman Tigers vs. Ledford Panthers
The Randleman Tigers were the 55-30 winner over the Ledford Panthers when they last played one another back in November, but their luck changed this time around. Randleman fell to Ledford 42-37. Randleman found out winning isn't easy when you don't work as a unit and post seven fewer assists than your opponent.
Randleman lost on Monday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kadie Green, who scored ten points. Those ten points set a new season-high mark for her. Bella Byman was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Ledford found their leader in underclassman Izzy Smith, who scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Smith scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Aynsley Bruff, who scored four points along with eight rebounds.
Randleman now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Ledford, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.
Randleman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. Eastern Randolph is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Ledford, they will head out on the road to face off against Forbush at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Forbush will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.
