Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Longmont last Thursday, Roosevelt came back down to earth. The Roughriders fell just short of the Berthoud Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Roughriders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Roosevelt took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 18-25, 26-24, 15-13.

Berthoud's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bella Shelton led the charge by getting 12 digs and three assists.

Having lost for the first time this season, Roosevelt fell to 2-1. As for Berthoud, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will square off against Mead at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Berthoud, they will take on Thompson Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
