Basketball Game Preview: Farmington Tigers vs. Shakopee Sabers

The Farmington Tigers will venture away from home to face off against the Shakopee Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Farmington's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matchups.

It was a proper cat-fight when Farmington duked it out withLakeville South on Tuesday. Farmington took an 84-75 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeville South. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Tigers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Shakopee entered their tilt with Lakeville North on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They blew past the Panthers 82-56. The Sabers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 22 points or more this season.

Shakopee pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 84.3 points per game. As for Farmington, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Farmington lost to Shakopee on the road by a decisive 81-66 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Farmington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
