Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mathews). They took down the St. John Fighting Herald 89-75 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory made it two in a row for Mathews and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for St. John, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Mathews will be home for the holidays to greet Kennedy Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kennedy Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for St. John, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-28 win against Chalker on the 21st.
