Basketball Game Preview: Jellico Blue Devils vs. Oliver Springs Bobcats

Two dominant guards in Trey Vann and Gavin Johnson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jellico Blue Devils will challenge the Oliver Springs Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Jellico's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.

Jellico is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Midway just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 91-74 to the Green Wave.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oliver Springs duked it out withSunbright on Friday. Oliver Springs took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sunbright. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jellico's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Oliver Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-13.

Jellico didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oliver Springs when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jellico since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
